Mahnaz Nouri, MD
Mahnaz Nouri, MD, graduated from Boston University where she received her Bachelor (Magna cum laude with distinction in Biology) and Medical Degree (through the early admission program to medical school: Modular Medical Integrated Curriculum). She began research in the medical sciences at Massachusetts General Hospital while an undergraduate at Boston University. She started focusing on Ophthalmic research as a medial student when she was awarded a grant from the Fight for Sight Division of the National Society to Prevent Blindness.
Dr. Nouri is currently an active staff member, as an Assistant in Ophthalmology, at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary where she completed a two year clinical/surgical fellowship in Corneal diseases, transplantation, and refractive surgery as an Associate Staff at Harvard Medical School.
She has many clinical and teaching contributions as well as scientific publications and text book chapters.
She is a dedicated member of the following organizations: Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, International Ocular Surface Society, Keratoprosthesis Study Group, European Association for Vision and Eye Research, and Tear Film & Ocular Surface Society.
Her current research interests are on the anterior segment, Cornea, Keratoprosthesis, dry eyes, and refractive surgery.
