Boston Brow Lift
Brow or forehead elevation is another surgical method of reversing the effects of aging. With age, eyebrows can sag, producing an altered facial expression, aged appearance, and sometimes headache. Brow elevation, often used in conjunction with upper lid blepharoplasty, can return a youthful radiant look to an aging face.
As we grow older, our skin loses its elasticity, and furrows tend to form. At the same time, this loss of elasticity renders the soft tissues more vulnerable to gravitational effects. This, combined with environmental forces, often results in brow droop. Not surprisingly, smoking greatly accelerates these changes. Wrinkles, deep furrows, and midforehead creases sometimes called "frown lines" result and can produce an unwanted angry, tired, or forlorn appearance, as facial expression depends to a great extent on eyebrow position. Brow lifting can effectively reverse these effects.
